Question/Comment:

I have been taking vermapil for the past 3 1/2 years, and now I was put on Lopressor for rapid heart rate, my HR was at 169. I don't like to take medication, I would like to get off of this lopressor, becuase it makes my HR very slow. Having fast hr, could this lead to something serious? I am only 48. I believe I am beginning the change of live.

Answer/Reply from iGuard:

These medications usually do not cause constipation. You may want to follow up with your doctor to find out if something else is going on.

Question/Comment:

I have been taking metoprolol for over 2 years. I switched from Toprol XL which I had been taking for over 5 years. I have not experienced any hair loss or weight gain. I am a heart patient and so use other meds as well. I have noticed some memory loss but cannot attribute it to the metoprolol.
