If I have CHF should I be taking Norvasc? I used to take lisinopril for blood pressure. Don't know why the doctor changed medication.

I am a 70 year old male. I am taking Amlodipine and Tekturna for high blood pressure. According to my Dr. my blood pressure is back to normal. I have not noticed any side affects.

since taking amlodipine, I have experienced constant headaches and they are more severe in the morning.

I have been having problems with muscle cramps and weird unnatural drawing of muscles in the evening and at night..I take calcium+ d also take caltrate... do you think thevitiamins I take are having an adverse reaction with my perscription medicine???

It definitely could...Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker, if you're taking the calcium supplements on your own (without recommendation from your doctor), you might want to try to cut back a little at a time and see if you notice a change...have you asked your doctor about it?
